Polo is a sport everyone needs to try, at least once. No matter what your horse experience, or age, polo is a great sport for the whole family. Brandywine Polo offers beginner lessson that teach you polo basics on gentle school horses in the arena. Contact: poloschool@brandywinepolo.com

How much is tailgating at Polo?

Pack your favorite picnic and
invite your friends & family for a fun afternoon of tailgating at polo. Daily Tailgates are $45 per space can are purchased where our tickets are sold. You get a space for 1 car + 1 person, 10'x20' Tailgates assigned upon arrival. Limited availability. Seasonal Tailgates available by emailing elizabeth@brandywinepolo.com. No grilles, no glass please. Adult beverages allowed. No under age drinking permitted. Dogs on leash allowed.

Where is Walker Field?
Answer >
Walker Field is a beautiful polo field located in the country on Byrd Road off of 926, across from New Bolton Center. It usually drys faster than the other fields, thus we often move games there when it rains. It is a very shady there for spectators. Best to bring your own food & beverage.

Is polo played in an Arena?
Answer >
Polo can be played on a grass field or in an arena. The rules are the same, although arena is quicker and the ball can be played off the arena walls. Chukkers are still 7.30mins long, with 6 chukkers per game. Regulation size polo arenas are 300' x 150', usually with a Blue Stone footing and with only 3 players per team. A grass polo field is 150 yds x 300 yds, equal to 9 football fields, and has 4 players per team.
